Here. Arrived. Landed. Begun. The first Shanghai week is 4/5s over, and I have mixed feelings about the whole damn thing. But for every down, there is an up. Mostly.
It’s hot as SHIT. 40+ everyday. I knew it would be hot, but damn. That said, it’s clean and the days have storms at the end, so point one is a tie: Down/Up.
I live in a hotel. Seems glamorous: isn’t. Convenient? Yes. Clean? Yes. Soulful? Inspiring? Home? No, no, no. Down.
I found a place to live, and I’m pretty close to signing the lease and getting on with it. Up. Huge Up. It’s such an awesome space, right area, right vibe. Can’t wait to move in.
Could get a puppy. Tempted. Might wait for her, she needs to pick it. She hates dogs in clothes. I thank god she feels this way. Up/Up.
8896.11 kilometres from Beijing to Melbourne. 8049.41 kilometres from Shanghai to Melbourne. I’m getting closer, slowly. But many months to go. Down.
Will pop home soon. Up.
