The tier two tour 2012.
You leave on a Sunday, and wake up with a turbulent jolt as you rocket across the tiered paddies of Yunnan Province, Southwest China. Destination: Kunming, aboard what feels like the oldest aircraft in China. 3 hours with 4 inches of legroom, and the stewardess doesn’t even bother to tell you to get off the laptop as you land. She doesn’t look like she’s bothered in a very long time.
The next few days are one of the really exciting parts of what you do: Site Visit! 3 days, 2 luxury spas and 2 5 star resorts. It’s a tough gig, but someone’s got to do it: get pampered and judge if it’s up to snuff. All you can think about is how excited you are to run outside, in the thick muggy air. Despite the distance, the timezone doesn’t change: it’ll be light til 9pm.
