An Australian Creative Director and Strategist fumbles through life New York City.

AaaaaawWWWWWWWWWW FUCK YEAH SHANGHAI. Finally. Fucking finally. This last weekend was stupendous.

Friday night was held at a nice outdoor bar, where the Australian Chamber of Commerce held Aussie drinks. A big group of mates descended, and I met a bunch of other lovely people, both Australian and otherwise. Hilarity ensued, and we all crossed our fingers that the weather would hold for us to enjoy a rooftop party on Saturday.

It didn't. Saturday saw heavy rain, and a backup plan was hastily arranged: an afternoon of eating and drinking at a new restaurant. For the princely sum of RMB200 per person (about $A30), we enjoyed a full afternoon of beers, wines, and mountains of delicious food. We stumbled out around 4pm and headed to watch the AFL and NRL finals - but by 6pm I was done and my friend Jo and I retreated to my courtyard to eat cheese and drink wine well into the night. Twas lovely.

Then Sunday dawned, and the weather was PERFECT. 26 degrees-ish, sunny - it's rooftop time. So after a long run, the same group met up for a third straight session of beers (shandies, to be specific), music, good food and better banter.

Fucking marvelous.
