A Change of Heart.
To be honest, I've had my concerns about living in Shanghai. I've felt quite isolated (despite being openly included), and I've felt alone despite being surrounded by 23 million other people. But last night, I had a change of heart. And it was through the simplest of things: a night of drinking in the kitchen of some good mates.
It felt so much like home - just a small group moving from cider to wine to whiskey. Chatting about life, and the little things that make big differences. And more than anything, meeting and becoming close with people who have felt the same way I have.
Shanghai - you've earned a reprieve for now. Not hurt by the fact that autumn is a beautiful time to be in this gorgeous city.
