Scrambler Loves Balls.

For the second time since arriving in China, I attended a ball on Saturday night.. And for the second time, it was centred on boxing.

The Brawl on the Bund is a Shanghai tradition, and features a white collar boxing event as the main reason to go. Basically, anyone can fight: so for three months before the big night, average people are transformed into boxing machines and on the night, you can watch people you see at the pub all the time fight one another. It's quite a spectacle.

For this event, I ponied up and got a tuxedo made. I went with a slight shift on tradition, opting for a dark blue tux jacket with black pants. It looked RAD - SIDEBAR: I took a photo of Ryan Gosling in the same look to the tailor, who thought I was Ryan Gosling (note: I have not got more handsome, it is simply that we all look the same to the tailor). So after she finished the suit, she asked me to sign the picture for her to put up on the wall. So yeah, there's now a framed picture of Ryan Gosling with my signature on it, stuck to a wall at the South Bund Fabric Market.

Anywho, back to the night. Men really do look better in tuxedos, no wonder Jack Donaghey and James Bond throw them on so consistently. And the ladies: whoa. There should be way more formal attire events. Yowza.

So, in summing up, yay balls.
